Your Admission Checklist

1

Submit my $200 advance payment to SPU’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions online or by mail

Your advance payment is due within 15 days of receiving your offer of financial assistance (if you will not be applying for financial aid, your advance payment is due within 15 days of your admission), and must be made before you register for classes. Although you have 15 days it is important to remember that classes fill up quickly and the earlier you submit your Advanced Payment the more class options you may have.

Make your payment at spu.edu/advancepayment or send the payment to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in the return envelope that was sent to you, along with your enrollment response card. The payment will be credited toward your first tuition payment and secures your place for the upcoming quarter.

Register for New Student Advising and complete the tutorials and assignments two weeks prior to my appointment

New Student Advising is a required event for new students. This is your opportunity to get advised and registered for classes. In the coming weeks you will be contacted by Student Academic Services to set up a New Student Advising appointment.

  • Watch your mail for more information, and read Academic Policies and Procedures and Baccalaureate Degree Requirements in the SPU Undergraduate Catalog to learn about the University’s baccalaureate degree requirements.

  • Once you sign up for an appointment, you will be sent detailed instructions for completing the online tutorials.

Sign up for Housing

You will find the housing application online. This is where you can find more information on housing requirements and how to apply.

  • First-time freshmen are eligible for residence halls.

  • Transfer students are eligible for campus apartments. However, if demand for housing exceeds supply, priority will be given to students who are required to live on campus.

Arrange to have all official final academic transcripts sent to SPU’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions

For all high school students, a final high school transcript with a posted graduation date must be submitted prior to the start of classes, as a final requirement for admission, and in order to receive financial aid. Transfer students are also responsible for submitting all college transcripts.
