Ames Leadership Scholarship

Marquis Yazzie“The Ames Leadership Scholarship has provided me with an adventure and a chance to grow,” says junior Marquis Yazzie. He plans to promote economic development in rural, Native American communities throughout Arizona and New Mexico after graduating.
At SPU, we consider a diverse community an asset. That’s why the Ames Leadership Scholarships were created to support ethnically diverse high school graduates.

Apply to Be an Ames Scholar!

Are you a minority high school student and a born leader? You may be the perfect candidate for the Ames Leadership Scholarship. We consider cross-cultural experiences, a desire to lead on the SPU campus, and a willingness to participate in ongoing leadership development. The amount awarded varies.

To be considered, turn in your Ames Leadership Scholarship application, by March 3, 2008. Scholarship decisions will be made by April 1, 2008.
