About Unlimited

Unlimited is SPU’s contemporary music rhythm section and vocal ensemble. Serving the needs for unique ministry and educatinal opportunities, the ensemble's repertoire is an array of contemporary Christian worship and praise, classical, jazz, blues, and gospel styles.

Unlimited performs with a unique style and vitality at churches and schools throughout greater Seattle. Each of the group’s 10 members is also a part of SPU’s nationally known Concert Choir, which is under the direction of choral conductor David Anderson.

Bobby JackyMusic Director

Bobby Jacky played the keys in Unlimited for two years before graduating from SPU in 2001. Now in his fifth year as the group’s music director, Bobby produced Unlimited’s first CD, “How Can I Keep From Singing?” in 2005. He also serves on the SPU campus as the minister of worship and production assistant for SPU's University Ministries and Center for Worship.

Stephen NewbyArtistic Consultant

Stephen Michael Newby is a composer, conductor, associate professor of music, and director of University Ministries and the Center for Worship at SPU. He is also worship leader for Promise Keepers and the Integrity Music band PK7. His award-winning compositions have been performed by several orchestras including the Seattle Symphony.
