University Players

About the Players

The University Players, SPU’s acting troupe, have a reputation for dramatic excellence and theological richness. They develop their shows with their director and with Players alumni. Their programs engage the audience by exploring conflicts and difficult issues that all of us face. For more information including student profiles, see the Players brochure (PDF).

The Players Repertoire 2007–08

“Winter Requiem.” When a group of high school students tragiclly loses a close friend, they find themselves looking back on their relationships and wondering where God is in the midst of their pain and grief.

“The Variety Show.” A troupe of traveling actors reflects on the faithfulness of God both on the stage and off, looking for Christ’s presence when our hopes and dreams seem to fall apart.
