Graduate Programs
The purpose of the graduate program in theology at Seattle Pacific University is to equip the people of God for ministry in the 21st century. Our intent is to create a fellowship of academic learning, discipleship, worship, and mission, where the study of theology can flourish. Our program will appeal to students who want to be part of a thriving community in a rich, urban setting, and who want their graduate studies to affect their heart, not just their mind.
The School of Theology believes that scholarship, spiritual edification, and service (head, heart, and hand) should be closely integrated. In terms coined by theologian David Tiede, our theological school is designed to engage students in a threefold manner: as an “academy,” “abbey” and “apostolate.”
