TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES
Teaching assistantships under the guidance of faculty members are available to qualified students in the area of statistics and research methods.
RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES
Research assistantships and less formal opportunities to work with Psychology faculty on research projects are available to interested students. In addition, training and hands-on laboratory experiences in psychophysiology, social psychology and/or in developmental psychology, animal behavior, and cognitive psychology are available to qualified students.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Students who have completed an undergraduate degree in psychology have secured positions in social service, business management, personnel, the military, sales, education, mental health, Christian outreach, and so on. Job opportunities are more numerous for students who have acquired complementary knowledge (e.g., computer skills, foreign language competence, business administration) and field experience. Graduate work is necessary for a career in counseling or professional Psychology. Job announcements and other relevant opportunities are posted on the departmental bulletin board.
