Seattle Pacific University's program:

  • Is one of two nationally-accredited MFT programs in the state of Washington (this facilitates Washington state licensure requirements to be met earlier)

  • Strongly emphasizes the personal or "self" development of the professional

  • Integrates the exploration of spirituality and Christian faith issues

  • Identifies how biological and medical issues interface with family therapy

  • Offers a Medical Family Therapy Certificate program

  • Is taught exclusively by graduate faculty who practice marriage and family therapy

  • Supervises students for seven quarters of the program

  • Allows students to select a theory of choice to learn in depth
