DISTINCTIVES
Seattle Pacific University's program:
- Is one of two nationally-accredited MFT programs in the state of Washington (this facilitates Washington state licensure requirements to be met earlier)
- Strongly emphasizes the personal or "self" development of the professional
- Integrates the exploration of spirituality and Christian faith issues
- Identifies how biological and medical issues interface with family therapy
- Offers a Medical Family Therapy Certificate program
- Is taught exclusively by graduate faculty who practice marriage and family therapy
- Supervises students for seven quarters of the program
- Allows students to select a theory of choice to learn in depth
