1.9.1 Year 1
a. RVT participation

1.9.2 Year 2
a. RVT team member
b. Register for 2 dissertation credits each quarter
c. CPY 7020 Introduction to Statistics
d. CPY 7031 Research Methods & Statistics I
e. CPY 7032 Research Methods & Statistics II
f. CPY 7033 Research Methods & Statistics III
g. RVT / faculty advisor is permanently established during second year
h. Pass comprehensive exam requirement during Winter or Spring Quarter
i. Identify topic, outline proposed dissertation and declare a dissertation chair during Spring Quarter after you have successfully passed your comprehensive.

1.9.3 Year 3
a. RVT team member
b. CPY 7010 Psychometric theory and test construction
c. Begin work on dissertation
d. Pass dissertation proposal
e. Submit research proposal to SPU Human Subjects Review Board through the director of research

1.9.4 Year 4
a. RVT team member
b. Complete dissertation

. Complete data collection
. Complete data analyses
. Write-up results and final dissertation document
. Defend final dissertation
. Make revisions and complete revision memo
. Submit dissertation and single dissertation coversheet for signatures
. Make final revisions
