COSTS AND FINANCIAL AID: 2007-08 COSTS

2007-08 COSTS
Currently, the tuition rate for 2007-08 is $569 per credit hour. This amount is subject to change.

ASSISTANTSHIPS
The department usually offers nine to 10 graduate assistant positions each year. Typically, these positions are available to students in their second year and beyond.  They pay a stipend of between $2,680 and $6,400 per year, for anywhere from four to 12 hours per week time commitment. Graduate Assistantships are not considered a part of the student's financial aid award. You may contact the program coordinator (206-281-2839) to inquire about graduate assistantships only after you have been admitted to the program.

FINANCIAL AID
Financial aid, in the form of student loans and work-study, is administered by Student Financial Services (SFS). Financial aid is available to students who are admitted as degree-seeking students in and who demonstrate financial need. Specific questions should be directed to SFS. The office is located on the garden level of Demaray Hall, or you may call (206) 281-2061. www.spu.edu/sfs

STUDENT EMPLOYMENT
In addition to graduate assistantships and other financial aid, students may choose to be employed part-time on- or off-campus. For student employment opportunities, please visit the Student Employment website at http://spu.xproducts.nelnet.net/
