EDCN 5556 Individualized Topics in Education (2-5 credits)
Students will investigate current topics in education through district, state, national or international conference attendance and individually selected readings for the purpose of school improvements such as enhancement or development of teaching practices, discipline programs or curriculum planning.

EDSS 5053 Exploring Washington's History: Northwest Region (5 credits)
Presents an appreciation for Washington's geography and rich history by exploring the state's northwest region. Visit required site locations in each area, conduct research, analyze issues and collect resource information including photographs, postcards and brochures that help teach Washington state history and the issues the state faces. Travel with family members or friends to create a learning vacation. Class not open to: Undergraduate level.

Provides opportunities for planned, independent travel study in individually selected subjects and locations. Use the coursework for documentation of sabbatical travel and study for school districts. May be repeated for credit up to 30 credits. Class not open to: Undergraduate level.
