EDSS 5053 Exploring Washington's History: Northwest Region (5 credits)

Explore Washington state's geography and rich history while enjoying a vacation of learning. Develop a multitude of lessons for use in the classroom based on your travels to several Northwest Washington locations. Class not open to: Undergraduate level.

Participants will develop an appreciation for Washington's geography and rich history by exploring one of the state's four regions. Visit required site locations in each area. Conduct research, analyze issues and collect resource information that will assist participants in teaching Washington state history or issues the state faces. Travel with family members or friends to create a learning vacation. Class not open to: Undergraduate level.

Take advantage of this opportunity for planned independent travel study in individually selected subjects and locations. May be repeated for credit up to 30 credits. Class not open to: Undergraduate level.
