| This class will provide an overview of student-centered electronic learning portfolios that also support classroom-based formative assessment for learning. Emphasis will be on how teachers can support students of all ages to use desktop, laptop, or mobile devices, focusing on (mostly free) Web 2.0 tools, to: capture and store digital evidence; reflect on learning; give and receive feedback; plan and set goals; collaborate; showcase selected work; and evaluate online portfolios. |

| Enables participants to bring learning to life using digital video in the classroom. Explains how to use digital video as an instructional tool for school projects and provides practical ideas that will be immediately applicable in the classroom. Explores how to create dazzling movies, complete with special effects, voice-overs, music scores, transitions, titles, credits, and more. Through a variety of hands-on activites, educators will learn how to work with digital video cameras and create and edit movies with iMovie, Apple's breakthrough digital video editing software. Access to a digital video camera and Macintosh computer with a FireWire port and Apples's iMovie software is required for this class. It is also recommended that participants have 2GB of free hard disk space as well as a high speed Internet connection. This course is correlated with the national ISTE NETS (National Educational Technology Standards) and the No Child Left Behind Act. |

| This course prepares participants to successfully administer the mCLASS:DIBELS Next assessment. Introduces DIBELS and the mCLASS platform. Focuses on each of the DIBELS measures.
