Russia
The work in Russia began several years ago. CGCS highly values the relationships with our Russian partners and will continue to explore new avenues that may be productive. Certainly, our contacts have helped us greatly with a number of research studies at the doctoral level and with faculty research.

Of particular note has been the development of a new generation of textbooks for Russian schools. These books serve as excellent texts and are devoid of the old propagandist nature of the Soviet educational system. In addition, a three-year public schools project in Moscow yielded fruitful results that included several hundred young people and their family members becoming Christian.

Current contacts with Russian institutions of higher education include Moscow State University (http://www.msu.ru/english/), the University of the Russian Academy of Education, Moscow State Pedagogical University , and Shuya State Pedagogical University

Further work has been completed in conjunction with the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation (http://www.informika.ru/eng/), the Russian Academy of Education, the Institute for Social Science Research, and the Moscow Institute for the Development of Educational Systems.

China
For both scholarly and spiritual purposes, China has been another extremely positive place in which CGCS has been working. Our time with contacts from Zhejiang University (http://www.zju.edu.cn/english/) in Hangzhou have included meaningful research projects, teacher training, and conferences on diverse topics such as the work of C. S. Lewis with their Center for Christianity Studies.

Spain
Our contacts in Spain have included the University of Barcelona (http://www.ub.es/), Universitat Ramon Llull (http://www.url.es/ ), and the University of Vic.

United Kingdom
Our contacts in the United Kingdom have included the University of Hull (http://www.hull.ac.uk/), and representatives from CGCS regularly present papers at the annual conference of the British Educational Research Association (http://www.bera.ac.uk/).
