In addition to the course requirements, students are required to create a portfolio, publicly present a solid piece of research in their interest area, and complete a comprehensive examination. However, these requirements will be integrated into students' coursework as much as possible.

Comprehensive Examination
The Comprehensive Examination is usually completed during the last quarter of coursework or the quarter thereafter. An application available from the School of Education should be submitted to the graduate program manager two quarters in advance.
