What Now questions:

  • Did you remember to drop, cover, and hold? Yes, moved under desktop and once shaking stopped moved to make sure BEC was responding appropriately.
  • Do you know  where your buildings’ evacuation location is? For SUB it isTiffany Loop
  • What will you take with you when you leave the building?  Create a list of what you take with you. BEC bag, laptop, cell, wallet and keys, emergency binder, purse.
  • What will you do when you arrive at the evacuation location? Check in with BEC and identify which staff were present in the SUB and which are in satellite office locations. Provide support or guidance to BEC as needed. Ensure BEC has communicated with OSS via radio or runner.
  • What will you do with the injured? Report injured to BEC and ensure communication to OSS. Attend to anyone who is injured, call for help as needed.
  • How will you check in with your family members? Do you have an family communication plan? Contact spouse and children by cell phone and email.  Determine if on-campus house has occupants and activate communication plan with family.
  • What actions do you need to take in the next hour? Next two hours? As CSOT member or designate, I will then head to OSS to communicate information currently available.  Kim and designate will be in communication regarding who should go to OSS.  My cell number is the primary contact number for me if working within the network.
