Finance Msg 3 Response

Point of Contact: Craig Kispert

CSOT Department/Area: Finance

Reminder

  • If you serve on ECMT, who in your department or schools are in the field? Do they know how to address the following questions? How will you be in communication with them?  Steve and Joan should be prepared to deal with the details of the Finance plan.  I would stay in communication with them through a runner.

What Now questions:

  • Have you met with your staff? Is anyone missing and how will you locate them? Who do you notify to help locate any missing faculty or staff?  By this time we would have met together as a staff.  If anyone is missing, we would double check with the BEC to confirm if they had checked in with him/her or not as well as check with finance staff to see if anyone knew if they were scheduled to be off campus for a meeting or sick/vacation.  If we are not able to track anyone down this way, we would notify the BEC that the individual is unaccounted for and then would attempt to reach them via the department contact list (as cell coverage permits).
  • Do you have a plan to address working outside for the next 2 hours? Next 5 hours?  Finance should be able to function outside for the remainder of the day since there is nothing pressing occurring.  The primary work during the first 5 hours would involve communication (bank, insurance companies, etc) and would be reliant on phone service.  Some sort of covering may be needed for the operation of laptops if they were needed during this time.
  • Have you made a status report to CSOT/OSS/ECMT? How will you get the information to the appropriate people?  The reports to CSOT and ECMT would occur via runners and with OSS via BECs.
  • What are your priorities at this point in time? What actions do you need to take in the next hour? Next two hours?  Continued evaluation of who needs to stay and who could leave.
