Finance Msg 1 Response

Point of Contact: Craig Kispert

CSOT Department/Area: Finance

What Now questions:

  • Did you remember to drop, cover, and hold? Yes – move away from windows.

  • Do you know  where your buildings’ evacuation location is? Yes – Emerson streetscape

  • What will you take with you when you leave the building?  Create a list of what you take with you.  Coat, umbrella, wallet, keys, laptop (and accessories), portable hard drive, cell phone

  • What will you do when you arrive at the evacuation location? Check in with BEC taking attendance.  Try to locate Finance staff and assess how everyone is doing and what “tools” are with us.  Make sure primary Finance area contacts (Steve and Joan) are located and beginning to consider a recovery plan.

  • What will you do with the injured?   Help them to safety and then get them to the medical area if necessary.

  • How will you check in with your family members? Do you have an family communication plan? Cell phone call/text.  Use GETS card calling number.  Try out of town relatives (Sequim/Yakima) if unable to complete a local call.  We “sort of” have a family communication plan.

What actions do you need to take in the next hour? Next two hours?

  • Assess the state and location of Finance staff and the tools available (laptops, files).
  • Begin gathering insurance notification numbers to use to mobilize whatever resources they are able to provide for recovery.
