Point of Contact: Dave Church
CSOT Department/Area: FPM
This photo was taken at our Field Station. It shows that two structural engineers arrived from Pacific Engineering Technologies, two hours after the quake hit.
They are meeting with John Mansfield, Craig Kispert, and Dave Church. They received their assignments and forward based materials (materials kept in Emergency Operations Support Vehicle.)
If this were a real earth quake they would have departed and began evaluating Ashton, Emerson, and Gwinn.
Since it was a drill they reviewed our plan and offered tips. |

We have confirmed that generators are running in Moyer, Marston, and the Library. We have confirmed that power remains out in the Library, Peterson, Moyer, Marston/Watson. FPM staff have found a dead crow on the ground under the transformer in front of McKenna (likely cause). FPM staff can see that one of the breakers high up on the pole has tripped.
We have spoken with our City Light Rep – they are very busy all over Seattle – we are waiting to hear a timeline for their response. We will keep CSOT and the ECMT informed.
Even though the University is closing – FPM staff, temporary workers, part-time student labor, Structural Engineers, and support from WGC which has now reported will be staying at work until further notice and require food, water, and housing in support of the 10-12 hour days that they will be working.
