What Now questions:

  • Who needs to know how to reach you or where you are located on campus?
    1. OUM/CFW staff – professional and student employees
    2. Student Ministry Coordinators

  • How will you contact the ECMT, Security and the other CSOT members with your status?
    1. Via BEC radio
    2. Text message
    3. Email on lapto
  • How will they contact you if you cannot take calls on your cell phone?
    1. BEC Radio – CSOT and OSS
    2. Email – other SPU staff and students
    3. Text message - family
  •  Do you have a plan to meet with your staff? According to your CSOT plan, do you have the resources you need (contact lists, laptops, rosters)?
    1. There is no plan to meet with staff – arranging for a conference call w/i 5 hours – making arrangements by IM/text each other
    2. We do have the resources needed on our laptop computers – contact lists, etc.
    3. We are developing a communication plan for GospelFest 09 participants – to go out via emai
  • Do you see any needs that need to be addressed for the students, staff and faculty? Will water and food become an issue? Is there a need for counselors?
    1. Beyond first aid concerns, we now need to start addressing pastoral concerns
    2. Water food AND shelter will become an issue dependent on how long we are kept outside
    3. There is a need for campus pastors to be offering support to students, faculty and staff. Counselors would be coordinated through Student Counseling Center. We would be collaborating with Jeff Jordan to provide pastoral counseling services.
  • What actions do you need to take in the next hour? Next two hours?

Next hour:

  1. Contact all OUM/CFW staff members – ascertain who can get to campus and in how much time
  2. Respond to requests for our presence around campus – Jeff Jordan
  3. Continue to monitor safety and well-being of people gathered in Tiffany Loop
  4. Plan for group for tonight – acoustic open-air service if appropriate (safety and logistics) – equipment able to be transported? UG structurally sound
  5. Provide pastoral care

 

Next two hours:

  1. Monitor all airwave and electronic communications for aftershock and other pertinent information
  2. Email GospelFest 09 vendors and Directors to determine possible options for Saturday
  3. Research options for food, water
  4. Provide pastoral care
