Thanks Erin –

In this scenario, once the campus has been closed, it would be your call.  Staff would need to be reminded about tomorrow --- how to find out if you need them to come in on TH (next day), even if it is announced that the campus is closed.  The key is knowing if you will need any support throughout the afternoon or evening as it relates to providing CSOT/ECMT information about becoming operational and/or about holding/canceling events, or in your case you may be contacted by parents trying to find out about their student/athlete.  So as you think of your administrative needs, you need to determine who is essential to you ---- to stay with you throughout this particular day.  You may want to re-visit job descriptions … and adjust expectations if you believe you need support to handle the various issues and questions that may arise.

Other campus needs --- if this type of event were to occur, it is likely we’ll need to enlist volunteers (students, staff) to help get facilities up and operational across campus (a big one will be the library – re-shelving all the materials).

There’s always more to think about…
