A CSOT EXERCISE IN EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND RECOVERY

Athletics Msg 5 Response

Point of Contact: Erin O'Connell

CSOT Department/Area: Athletics

I would send all staff and student-athletes who live off campus home via foot or vehicle.  If Brougham does not undergo structural assessment prior to night fall I will excuse employees form returning to work until they hear from me again.  Since there are no home sporting events in the gym at this time of year we do not need to cancel any events.  If we had injured staff and athletes I would make sure they are accounted for in terms of receiving the medical care they need prior to leaving them.  I would encourage our student-athletes who live in the dorms but have family in Seattle to leave campus and return to their families in order to decrease the amount of people on campus for critical items like restrooms, water, food, blankets.

My BECs and I (as well as any staff/student volunteers) would then help with whatever immediate needs are necessary in other areas of campus.
