Master of Arts in Social and Sustainable Management

The School of Business and Economics at Seattle Pacific University now offers an M.A.
in Social and Sustainable Management as an
11-month, intensive immersion into:

  • A Christian understanding of business, ethics, responsibility, and sustainability— stewardship of people, planet, and profits

  • Professional and career development activities

  • The basics of business and leadership

This program enables recent graduates with liberal arts, science, or engineering majors who have not yet entered their career, or at most have not moved far into one to develop the core business and professional knowledge and skills that business, NGO, and nonprofit organizations all highly value — the skills needed to jump-start entry into business or social entrepreneurship. Most importantly, this program helps students translate their passion for service and stewardship into action.

[ Help yourself. Help the world. ]

The MASSM degree program is a high quality, AACSB accredited program. It uses an innovative modular curriculum. Learning is accomplished with a select group of bright, like-minded people through challenging, hands-on, real-world problem solving and through projects and connections with business and social enterprise community partners. The program builds on a mix of classroom and online learning, team and independent projects, a study abroad experience, and a cooperative learning internship.

The program also provides a significant stair-step toward completing an MBA or an M.A. in Theology in the future.
