Experience: Dr. Seitz joins the School of Business and Economics for the 2010-11 academic year as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Management, where he will be teaching Organizational Behavior and several other undergraduate and MBA management courses. Over the past eight years he has taught as an adjunct and visiting professor at several universities in the Portland area. Rainer's career includes tenures with several global corporations, including two Fortune 200 firms. He has been responsible for designing selection systems for one of the world's largest staffing firms, as well as developing pre-employment assessments for major retail clients throughout the country. Rainer successfully ran his own consulting practice where he assisted Pacific Northwest organizations in improving their hiring, designing performance management systems and creating employee development programs. Rainer is also involved in employee selection and workforce reductions research. Rainer enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his three children who range in age from 16 to 20. His personal interests included cycling, weightlifting, and tennis. He is also a self-professed “gearhead” who enjoys restoring classic American cars. Above all, he seeks to live out his Christian faith in his daily walk.
