Teaching areas: Legal Environment of Business, Business Finance, Business Ethics Experience: As the son of two college professors, Grant knew from an early age he wanted to teach, and also knew the value of bringing practical experience into the classroom. After graduating with honors from Seattle Pacific, Grant started and ran his own real estate development and construction company. He then pursued his graduate work at the University of Washington, completing both an MBA and JD and earning academic honors including a charter Gates Fellowship. Grant began teaching at Seattle Pacific as an adjunct while practicing law for a Fortune 100 law firm in Seattle. He strove to integrate his experience as an entrepreneur and in field of corporate law into his curriculum and quickly became very passionate about academic excellence and instruction. He encourages students to utilize the skills critical assessment he teaches in his courses in any application particularly regarding faith. This encourages practical application and development of critical reasoning skills as well as research and personal spiritual development. |
