William Kauppila has spent the past forty years as a CPA specializing in providing accounting, tax and consulting services to closely held businesses and high net worth individuals. In addition, he is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and has provided forensic accounting services to clients. He has written many articles on topics relating to forensic accounting.

During winter quarters he is an adjunct professor at Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii, and teaches a class in Fraud and Forensic Accounting in their MBA program.
