Research interests: Teaching areas: Experience: Tanya Boyd joined the faculty at Seattle Pacific University in 2008, after teaching as an adjunct in 2007. She is responsible for teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses including Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Managerial Communications. Tanya is finishing her doctoral degree in industrial/organizational psychology at Seattle Pacific University, with dissertation research in the area of job demands, burnout, and the role of calling in this relationship. She is a member of the Academy of Management, and of the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology. Prior to this teaching position, Tanya held a position in People Research at Microsoft, and acted as a consultant for projects with Boeing and Best Workplaces Institute. Her work in business included employee survey research, leadership development research, new employee best practices, and the impact of competencies on performance outcomes. She also has had experience overseas, living in Germany for a year while working as part of an organizational start-up for an equestrian business. |
