Good Business and Good Storytelling

Michael FlahertyOn May 4 starting at noon in the SPU Library seminar room, the Center for Integrity in Business will host Micheal Flaherty, co-founder and president of Walden Media. Walden produces film, books, and interactive programs that tie directly into school curricula. Past award-winning films include The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Charlotte’s Web and Amazing Grace. Stay tuned Flaherty’s insights on good business and good storytelling. The cost for the event which includes lunch is $15, and you can register online. Be sure to reserve your place right away as space is limited. Steve Bell on God's Grace in Economic Downturn

On April 27, Steve Bell, president and chief executive officer of Pacific Crest Industries, will be the featured speaker in chapel (First Free Methodist Church, 9:30 a.m.). Steve's talk is entitled, My Grace Is Sufficient for You. He'll focus on what he's learned about his business, himself, others, and his relationship with God by leading in tough economic times.
