SBE Role: Elizabeth views her primary responsibility in SBE as serving undergraduate students and encouraging them to grow into the people God desires them to be. Needless to say, she loves her work and her students! The role looks different from day-to-day: assisting in class selection and scheduling, monitoring and verifying degree completion progress, and encouraging students through consistent relationship and presence. In addition to serving our current students, she is a point of contact for Undergraduate Admissions, meeting with prospective students and families. She also serves on the SBE Undergraduate Committee, manages the student worker staff that provides administrative support for the department, and acts as club advisor for AUSBE (Associated Undergraduate Students of Business and Economics).
Experience: Elizabeth has served in SBE July of 2007. Prior to that, she was employed at Bethany Community Church in Seattle, as a publications ‘guru’ and administrative assistant to the pastoral staff. During her time as an undergraduate student at Seattle Pacific (class of 2005), Elizabeth was employed for 3 years in the office of Undergraduate Admissions. It was in this role that a passion for higher education and working with undergraduates was born. She is now working towards a Master’s degree in Student Development. |
