Courses may be set up where faculty or department permission must be obtained by the student prior to registering for a course.
Faculty or administrative assistants can enter the permission override into the Banner Information System, which allows the student to then register online.
Steps to Enter a Registration Override:
| Code | Description of Override |
|---|---|
| SPE | Will override special approval requirements, such as instructor permission. |
| RES | Will override restrictions, such as major, level (nonmatriculated, as opposed to graduate) and program. |
| PRE-REQ | Will override the prerequisite requirement. Be sure you are entering the course reference number (CRN) the student wants to register for, not the actual prerequisite that the student has not completed. |
| ALL | Will do the work of SPE, RES, PREREQ all in one! |
| TIME | Will override a time conflict. |
| CO-REQ | Will override the need for the student to register for the corequisite of a course. |
