Room Assignments

Both your priority and your preferences influence your housing assignment. First-time freshmen and transfers are prioritized separately by the date their admissions applications are received the earlier your date, the higher your priority. First-time freshmen are assigned to a residence hall and transfers are assigned to an apartment according to the preferences provided on the Campus Housing Application.

Your chances of getting into one of your preferred housing locations will depend on its availability and how many other students with an earlier admissions application date have requested that location. If your first choice is unavailable, we will look to your second choice and so on.

If you are a transfer student who wishes to be placed on a waiting list for the halls, please communicate your request in the notes section of your application. In the event that space becomes available, you will be contacted in September.

Special Accommodations

If you require special housing accommodations due to a documented disability, please answer “YES” to question #3 on the Campus Housing Application, and contact the coordinator for Disability Support Services in the Center for Learning at 206-281-2272. Incoming students should submit their request by June 1 for Autumn Quarter, or six weeks before the beginning of Winter and Spring quarters.
