Ashton Hall
Ashton Hall is SPU’s largest residence hall and its hilltop setting offers a striking view of the campus and the Lake Washington Ship Canal. The friendly atmosphere makes all of its residents feel at home.
Annual events include the Ashton Cup (a lip-sync contest), the Ashton Art Show, and a formal ball, which in the past has been held at the Space Needle and aboard an Argosy cruise on Puget Sound. Its hall council is known for creative and thought-provoking programming. Ashton is an ideal place for both studying and relaxing. It boasts a newly renovated lounge and recently added an exercise room. With more than 400 students, you’ll have many opportunities for making new friends. Opened in 1965 and originally named Upper Residence Hall, Ashton was renamed in honor of Dr. Philip F. Ashton for his service as psychology professor at Seattle Pacific University from 1929 to 1971. |
