Minors for Professional Studies

Any minor offered by SPU may be completed toward the Professional Studies Program. The following minor may be completed in the evening:

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING Learn the latest methods of solving engineering problems for a creative, productive career in today's rapidly changing technical environment. (Classes for a minor in electrical engineering are offered during the day and in the evening).

Elementary Education Certification

Students may choose to complete elementary education certification in place of a minor, since the state of Washington will recognize any major (including the Professional Studies major) for elementary certification. Skills, methods and internship courses for elementary certification total 74 credits. Included in those credits are some courses that also meet SPU's general education requirements listed above. Specifically, education methods courses would go toward the following general education requirements:
