The Seattle Pacific grounds are a recognized landmark in the Seattle community, earning the prestigious Gardens of Distinction award from the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals. The SPU arboretum includes several large and unique specimens:

• The largest Boliana poplar in the Seattle area
• Some of the largest California Valley oaks outside of California
• The largest American elms in the Seattle area
