Building Maintenance
Building Maintenance staff are stewards of the University's physical campus, providing the following services to keep daily campus operations running smoothly and efficiently:
- Facility maintenance, repair, and alteration
- carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling, welding, fabrication, locksmithing, and painting
- Delivery and/or set up for events
- Maintenance of the campus motor pool

Contracted services are a large part of how the building maintenance department keeps the university functioning at a level that allows quality learning and living to take place. Seattle Pacific has partnered with local service providers, including Enviromech, ThyssenKrupp Elevator, Safeguard Pest Control, ATS Building Systems, ABSCO Alarms and others to meet its goals.
Housekeeping
The SPU campus is cleaned by a dedicated group of in-house and contracted staff members. The residence hall system is cleaned with in-house staff who hire, train, and supervise approximately 50 student workers.
The main campus buildings are cleaned with contracted housekeeping companies, including SBS of America, All the Bases, and COIT Services.

Grounds
The Seattle Pacific grounds are a recognized landmark in the Seattle community, earning the prestigious Gardens of Distinction award from the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals. The SPU arboretum is a valuable campus resource and includes several large and unique specimens:
- the largest Boliana poplar in the Seattle area
- some of the largest California Valley oaks outside of California
- the largest American elms in the Seattle area
