SEATTLE PACIFIC UNIVERSITY

DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS

The Energy Project is made possible by a collaboration of many different groups:

The Department of Physics at Seattle Pacific University

The SPU Department of Physics leads the Energy Project and seeks to reach as many K-12 teachers (and pre-service teachers) as possible - thereby reaching children in classrooms across the country.

The School of Education at Seattle Pacific University

The School of Education works closely with the Department of Physics to train excellent teachers and to provide professional development opportunities for individuals who are already leading classrooms.

FACET Innovations

FACET, an educational research and development company, works with the Energy Project to provide tools and services in professional development and online (as through the Diagnoser project).

The National Science Foundation

NSF has generously given the Discovery Research K-12 grant which makes the Energy Project possible.

Washington State School Districts

The Energy Project works closely with Seattle Public Schools, Bellevue School district, and teachers in districts across the state to transform the teaching of science throughout Washington.
