About SPRINT

SPRINT Mission

SPRINT exists to cultivate lives that are awakened to and transformed by God’s purpose and passion for a broken world. SPRINT contributes to community health and wholeness by connecting students to effective models of community engagement through opportunities to learn and serve.

SPRINT is facilitated by student leaders, supported through the Associated Students of Seattle Pacific (ASSP), and under the mentorship of John Perkins Center staff.

SPRINT Vision

In international service-learning and mission trips ranging from 2 to 6 weeks, SPRINT participants will step out of their comfort zones, experience and encounter God, learn from the faith and example of others, and engage in models of reconciliation and community development that demonstrate the wholeness of the Gospel.

The trips are designed to help participants develop a:

  • Global Vision that sees the needs of a broken world, and sees God in relation to these needs.
  • Personal Response through a life of service and vocational alignment with God’s purposes.

SPRINT Process

All SPRINT team members participate in SPRINT's training process including pre-trip training and post-trip debriefing.

Learn more at SPRINT's Frequently Asked Questions page.

Summer teams are required to take a 3-credit theology course, “Living in Another Culture.”
