Ames Scholarship
![]() Meet Ames Scholar Pia Durias. |
Seattle Pacific University knows a diverse community is an asset. In fact, the 2007–08 freshman class had more ethnic diversity than ever — 20 percent of incoming students come from ethnically diverse backgrounds.
The Ames Scholarships, which help support ethnically diverse high school graduates, are making a difference! Today, 44 SPU Ames Scholars are in part supported through a fund started by a $1 million donation from SPU friends Gary and Barbara Ames.
Read about Pia Durias, a current Ames Scholar, meet the rest of the 2007–08 Ames Scholars, and discover the story behind the Ames Scholarship program.
