Youth Outreach Interns

A large pool of young adults faithfully serve as youth workers and community developers in urban communities.

Each summer, we invite young leaders — most of whom have participated in Urban Roots as high school students — to participate in the Urban Roots “learning lab” and training program.

Emerging Leaders

This cadre of youth outreach interns meets monthly for ongoing leadership training, studying the philosophies and methodologies regarding

• Dialogue education
• Indigenous leadership development
• Servant leadership
• The five practices of exemplary leadership

 

Each of these young adults is now leading in their own communities.
