Program Philosophy

All of our programs are asset based and continually cultivate growth from that foundation. We create venues for increased dialogue, vision, innovation, capacity, and reflection among diverse groups of people.

We hold the following to be true:
  • The very nature of dialogue requires love, faith, humility, and trust.
  • Dialogue is a place for discovery.
  • “Both/and” thinking connects rather than separates and recognizes the importance of context.
  • Chaotic order allows for creativity.
  • Education is the practice of freedom.
  • Leadership is contextual.
  • Real change addresses cultural assumptions.
  • Staying organic keeps us in the present truly engaging with each unique set of participants — seeing their gifts and hearing their needs witnessing their moves toward action.
  • The closest people to youth (youth leaders, mentors, teachers, etc.) should be, and need to be, empowered to influence youth.
  • Building leadership capacity addresses a variety of risk factors. Leadership skills, values, and philosophies translate to a variety contexts — family, school, community, etc.
