Oh Behave! Social and Professional Etiquette
November 18, 2008
Parents and families of SPU Students! Encourage your students to attend this insightful campus event. (It makes a great gift!)
Etiquette can make or break any situation, whether it’s a first impression, a date, or a job interview. And college students rarely find the time to learn the skills that will help them get ahead in many professional and social situations.
For that reason, the SPU
Career Development Center invites your student to “Oh Behave!” on November 18, our once-a-year event designed to educate students on proper dining/business etiquette.
Led by
Mary Mitchell, author of nationally syndicated newspaper column “Dear Ms. Demeanor” and
five acclaimed books, this enjoyable evening will provide tips on a range of topics, including:
- How to graciously end a conversation that’s gone far too long
- Which fork to use at a fancy meal
- How to introduce yourself to someone you’d like to impress
- How to shake someone’s hand while juggling a plate and a glass
It’s a fun and valuable evening — and just in time for your student to practice his or her new skills for the holidays!
And who knows? A little knowledge about manners now might save a future career or relationship from being lost.
Early Registration Discounts (available through October 31)
