COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES - PHYSICAL EDUCATION/EXERCISE SCIENCE POSITION

Position:
Assistant Professor of Physical Education/Exercise Science, full-time, tenure track, available September, 2010.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Exercise Science/Physiology or Biomechanics. A successful candidate will have a background that integrates Exercise Science/Physiology and/or Biomechanics scholarship in historical, critical, and social scientific research, and will show promise of scholarly production.

Responsibilities:
Regular nine-month load of about 33 quarter credits, teaching Wellness, Exercise Physiology, Applied Exercise Science and Biomechanics in addition to supervision of senior research projects and activity courses as needed. Additional responsibilities include advising and committee assignments.

Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, disability, and life insurance, as well as retirement programs. A moving allowance is provided.
