COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES - FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES POSITION

Position:
Assistant Professor of Clothing and Textiles, full-time, tenure track, available September 2010.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. or equivalent in Clothing and Textiles or related field. Candidates with cross-disciplinary interests are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
Regular nine-month load of about 33 quarter credits, teaching courses related to consumer textiles, flat pattern design, apparel and interiors merchandising, retail buying and management, and consumer behavior. Work experience related to the teaching field is a plus. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to teach in the college’s general education program.

Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as retirement programs. A moving allowance is provided.

Candidates should initially send a letter of interest, a complete curriculum vitae and a list of at least three references.
