COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES - CHEMISTRY POSITION

Position:
Assistant Professor of Chemistry, full-time, tenure track, available September 2010.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Chemistry. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. in physical chemistry. Candidates with cross-disciplinary interests (environmental chemistry, materials, nanotechnology) are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
Regular nine-month load of about 33 quarter credits, teaching freshman general chemistry and upper-division physical chemistry, both lecture and lab instruction; supervision of undergraduate research, committee service and advising also expected.

Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as retirement programs. A moving allowance is provided.

Our interview process will begin in October 2009, with preference given to early applications. Candidates should initially send a letter of interest, a complete curriculum vitae and a list of at least three references. Subsequently, complete application forms and further document requests will be sent.
