SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMICS - MANAGEMENT POSITION

Position:
Assistant/Associate Professor of Management, full-time, tenure track, available September 2010.

Qualifications:
Ph.D. (or ABD) from an AACSB accredited business school in Strategic Management or a related management field. Successful candidate should have an established record as an effective teacher and be capable of teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Candidates should also have a demonstrated capacity to conduct publishable research. Successful candidates must be compatible with SPU’s ecumenical Christian mission. Although the focus of this position is strategic management, versatility is valued. In particular, preference will be given to candidates who have a secondary research and teaching interest in developmental economics, international business, CSR, sustainability or ethics. Preference will also be given to candidates who are AACSB “academically qualified” and who have relevant industry experience. Women and people of color are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities: Regular nine-month load teaching strategy (at both the graduate and undergraduate levels) and other courses as needed. Additional responsibilities include advising and committee assignments.

Compensation:
Compensation: Compensation commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, disability, and life insurance, as well as retirement programs. A moving allowance is provided.
