SCHOOL OF PSYCHOLOGY, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY - MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPY POSITION

Position:
Assistant Professor, Department of Marriage and Family Therapy

Qualifications:
Experience in teaching, evidence of a research trajectory including scholarly publications, and a commitment to collaborative, clinical training and development are expected in all candidates. Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field and AAMFT Approved Supervisor status are required; however, those in process toward these requirements will be considered. Specializations in multicultural issues, brief therapy, medical family therapy, gender or child/adolescent specializations are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
Regular eleven-month average load of 33-quarter credits for teaching, supervision and administration of MFT internship sites. Teach graduate level courses in a MFT masters program; develop/coordinate internships sites and supervise practicum students; advise students; participate in university governance; develop contributions in research and scholarly writing. Provide service to university and community.

Compensation:
Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include health, dental, disability and life insurance as well as retirement program. A moving allowance is provided.
