Healthfinder - offers access to pamphlets and documents on almost every health topic.  Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
HealthWeb - links to reliable sources for many health topics, in addition to diseases and conditions it has links to health related topics such as bioethics and health of ethnic minorities.  Sponsored by the Greater Midwest Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine.
InteliHealth - this site is a product of Harvard Medical School and the Columbia Unviersty College of Dental Medicine.  This goal of this site is to provide quality consumer health information.
Mayo Clinic - links to information on health topics in easy to read language and formats.
MEDLINEplus - Sponsored by the National Library of Medicine.
Mental help net - links to information on mental health topics.
National Women's Health Information Center - looks a health topics as they relate to women, also includes information about topics of interest specifically to women such as breast feeding or hormone replacement therapy.  Sponsored by the National Office on Women's Health of the Department of Health and Human Services.
NOAH: New York Online Access to Health - a collaboration of several New York agencies including the public library and city univeristies, coming together to provide health information to the layperson in English and Spanish.
