American Council on Education 
Good source of information on higher education. "Site Index" provides a categories such as "Issues," "Initiatives," "Eye on Washington," or "News" for a large selection of full text material.
American Distance Education Consortium
International consortium of state and land grant institutions that provide economic distance education programs and services. Includes a large collection of links to related organizations. - North Carolina State University
Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development
The ASCD is an international, nonprofit, nonpartisan professional organization that represents 160,000 educators from more than 135 countries.  The ASCD addresses all aspects of effective teaching and learning - such as professional development, educational leadership, and capacity building. The ASCD also offers broad, multiple perspectives - across all education professions - in reporting key policies and practices.
Commonwealth of Learning
Canadian based international distance education organization created to encourage the development and sharing of open learning/distance education knowledge, resources and technologies. 
Council of Graduate Schools
Source of information and statistics on graduate education. "Policy Statements," "Government Relations," and "Resources for Students" categories provide various full text materials.
Educause
Consortium devoted to information technology in higher education. Includes an e-journal titled Educause Review.
Institute of International Education
"The world's most experienced educational exchange and training program." Information on Fulbright fellowships and other grants for international educational experiences, and more.
National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges
Provides access to home pages of member institutions, links to information about current educational issues and more. NASULGC is the nation's oldest higher education association and is dedicated to supporting excellence in teaching, research and public service.
National Research Council
"Office of News and Public Information" provides links to a variety of full text publications. "Site Map" leads to additional resources. "Subject Index" includes categories such as "Education"  and provides access to reports like the National Science Education Standards. - National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, and the Institute of Medicine
Scholarly Societies Project
Currently the largest free Internet-accessible database on scholarly societies across the world that allows database access via several fields. "Education" provides links to some 75 Education related organizations including the National Education Association (US) and the Association of University Teachers (UK). Additional links can be found under the headings of specific subject disciplines.  - University of Waterloo Library, Canada
Washington State Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development
The Washington State ASCD is a professional organization whose mission is to identify and promote quality educational practices that enhance the growth and development of all educators and students.  WSASCD is one of 67 ASCD affiliates.
