Obtaining Resources from Other Libraries

  • Summit Borrowing -- obtain books through Orbis Cascade Alliance library consortium within 3 working days. Access through SPU catalog or directly through consortium Summit union catalog.  Borrow only books with Summit Borrowing.
  • WorldCat -- an SPU database showing the books held in library collections throughout the U.S.  Borrow only books with WorldCat.
  • Interlibrary Loan ("ILL") -- use if no other ILL requesting feature available.  Borrow both books and photocopies of periodical articles from libraries in U.S.
  • University of Washington -- books available through Summit Borrowing; books available for check out with current SPU ID card at UW Libraries; periodicals available for use at UW Libraries; periodical databases available for use on public-access terminals at UW Libraries (e.g., America, History and Life and Historical Abstracts).
