Journal Indexing

Resources that let you know where a Journal Title is indexed:

1. CUFTS (Simon Fraser University's journal knowledgebase)
2.  Ulrich's Periodical Directory
This is an online resource that is available from the database lists of both the Seattle Public and King County Libraries.  (Students and employees of Seattle Pacific University are eligible for library cards for Seattle Public Library and King County Library

Ulrich's will tell you where a Journal is indexed; give information about the price and publisher contacts; identifies the scope of the journal and its intended audience.

NOTE: These resources are not limited to SPU holdings.  You will need to double check the SPU database list to make sure that we subscribe to databases listed for the journals.

For example:  A search for Nursing Economics shows that (among other places) this title is indexed in the following databases:

Academic ASAP no SPU access
Academic Search Premier SPU database
CINAHL SPU database
Current Contents no SPU access
MEDLINE SPU database

If you are looking for full-text within the databases subscribed to by the SPU Library, please search the E-Journal Portal.
