Mother Teresa     (1910 - 1997)

A native of Albania, Agnes Bojaxhiu settled in India, a young nun working for "the poorest of the poor" in Calcutta, she eventually founded the Missionaries of Charity.  Her mission expanded to include the poor of may other nations, and for this, Mother Teresa won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979.

"God calls each of us in a different way.  It is no credit to us that he does so.  What matters is that we should answer the call! "
