The Global Buzz

SPRINT Trip“… [A]fter spending most of my summer in India, my desire is to take people there in any way I can, whether by pictures or stories, or a one-way plane ticket. It is incredible to see what is happening in that country. It gives me hope and guides my prayers as I pray for the Indian children I’ve fallen in love with.”

About SPRINT

SPRINT Trip India

SPRINT Mission

SPRINT exists to cultivate lives that are awakened to and transformed by God’s purpose and passion for a broken world.

SPRINT Vision

From the outset, student involvement has been pivotal in launching the missionary movement in North America. SPRINT wants to continue this legacy of raising students at SPU who will light the fire of a new generation, eager and enthusiastic about God’s purpose and plan for the world.

We offer the SPU community unique global learning and service opportunities that challenge you to ask big questions:

  • What in the world is God doing?
  • How in the world is God expressing His message of hope?
  • What in the world has this got to do with me?

In trips, ranging from 2 to 6 weeks, to cities and villages around the globe, you will step out of your comfort zone, experience and encounter God, learn from the faith and example of others, and engage in models of reconciliation and community development that demonstrate the wholeness of the Gospel.

The trips are designed to help participants discover and develop a:

  • Global Vision that sees the needs of a broken world, and sees God in relation and response to these needs.
  • Personal Response through a life of self-giving service and vocational alignment with God’s purpose.

SPRINT Process

All SPRINT team members go through a comprehensive training process. Selected candidates are required to undergo the pre-field training and post-field follow-up to ensure the effectiveness of the on-field experience.

Summer teams are required to take a 3-credit theology course, “Living in Another Culture.”
